RATES & INSURANCE

It all begins with you and your needs. I encourage you to call for a free phone consultation, which will help us decide which services suit you best. I generally offer two tracks:

Track One: Psychotherapy, Medication Management, and Lifestyle Modification

This track allows me to get to know you best. It affords you the most comprehensive treatments options.

  • 90 minute initial assessment

  • 45 minute follow-up sessions weekly or multiple times weekly

Track Two: Medication Management and Lifestyle Modification

This track is for those who are primarily interested in medication management but not psychotherapy.

  • 60 minute initial assessment

  • 45 or 30 minute follow up sessions monthly, twice monthly, or weekly

All appointments are offered virtually or in-person.

We can talk more about the benefits of each track during your free consultation. Most patients who are seeking psychotherapy choose the 90-minute initial assessment and 45-minute psychotherapy / medication-management follow up appointments weekly.

Rates

Please note Dr. Sherer offers a sliding scale payment option for psychotherapy

  • Initial Assessments: $600 - $900 based on length

  • 45 minute follow up (psychotherapy + medication management): $450 or sliding scale based on frequency

  • 30 minute follow up (medication management): $300

Cancellation Policy

Worry-free cancellation with a no charge is available if you cancel more than 24 hours prior to your appointment. If there is an emergency, last-minute cancellations can be rescheduled for no additional cost. Otherwise I process charges shortly after the session time.

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider, and therefore I do not accept commercial insurance. I accept all major credit cards. If you have insurance with out-of-network mental health benefits, I will provide you with statements that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. If you are unfamiliar with this process, I would be happy to help walk you through it. This will provide you with some reimbursement for each session provided you have met your deductible and have out-of-network benefits.
